How does your cultural background influence your daily life and decision-making?

I grew up in the Appalachian mountains where we ate fresh garden food and raised our own hogs. Life was simple and I try my best to carry that easy going approach into my daily life.

What does wellness mean to you, and how do you prioritize it in your daily life?

I view wellness as total body (body, mind spirit). If one part of you is sick, the other parts suffer as well.

Are there specific wellness rituals or practices that you swear by for maintaining balance and harmony?

I do so many things to stay well everyday. I do infrared sauna, lymphatic drainage, detox baths, frequency therapy, prayer, lots of water with pink Himalayan salt, organic foods, and a bunch of supplements. What works for me may not work for you though. You have to find what suits you best.

Describe your relationship with food. Are you a foodie, a health enthusiast, or a bit of both?

I love good food but I have a lot of dietary restrictions. I have to avoid inflammatory foods. No gluten, dairy or refined sugar. No processed foods either. Just whole organic food.

Do you have a favorite cuisine or dish that holds a special place in your heart?

I love my mom’s soup beans and cornbread. It’s comfort food to me.

Are you a sports enthusiast, and if so, which sports do you follow or participate in?

I do not follow sports AT ALL. I know a tiny bit about basketball, not much about football, nothing about soccer or hockey. Definitely not a sports gal.

Do you have a favorite sports team or athlete that you passionately support?

I’m from Kentucky so I always cheer on the college basketball team, the Kentucky Wildcats! GO BIG BLUE!!!

What’s your all-time favorite movie, and what about it resonates with you?

That’s a tough one. I’d say it’s probably The Lion King. Possibly one of the greatest films of all time, in my opinion. I love it when justice is served and things fall into their intended order.

Do you have a preferred movie genre, or do you enjoy exploring a variety of genres?

Romantic Comedies for sure!

Can you recall a film that has had a significant influence on your perspective or outlook on life?

The Notebook is such a wonderful story of love that lasts until the very end. I do believe in love like that.

What is your favorite album of all time?

Fleetwood Mac Rumors
