How does your cultural background influence your daily life and decision-making?

I think it influences a lot of my decisions and life. I’m a native New Yorker, and I think that’s been a big part of my go-getter, hustle mentality. I’ve calmed down on that a bit given what I’ve been dealing with the past few years, but it’s ingrained in me.

What does wellness mean to you, and how do you prioritize it in your daily life?

Wellness is very important to me. I think we all get caught up in the hustle and bustle and sometimes forget to take care of ourselves. For me, since there’s always something going out that I am usually not in control of, I’ve learned to take that time for myself unapologetically.

Are there specific wellness rituals or practices that you swear by for maintaining balance and harmony?

Yes! I meditate often. I also love to go on walks and just zen out. Walking is a big form of self-care, I love to go exploring and walking around. I can walk for hours on end. Walking also helps me think out issues that I might have in my head. I also have an essential oil diffuser at home so I’ll use that to relax as well.

Describe your relationship with food. Are you a foodie, a health enthusiast, or a bit of both?
I’m 1000% a foodie, but also a health enthusiast. Definitely both. Aside from music, I come from a food background- my mother is very big on food and loves to try and create dishes from all different cultures. I think growing up in New York didn’t help me be less of a foodie… there’s so many different types of food and cuisines that you can choose from. I wouldn’t have it any other way. In terms of health, I exercise as often as I can and I also go on walks like I mentioned earlier. Walks are so so so good. I also will take a short run on a treadmill from time to time.

Do you have a favorite cuisine or dish that holds a special place in your heart?

It’s a tie between my mom’s lasagna or sushi. My mom is not Italian, but I love Italian food, as well as Japanese food. I think those are two of my go-to’s. Sushi more than anything, I can eat sushi whenever! I also love Thai and Indian food.

Are you a sports enthusiast, and if so, which sports do you follow or participate in?

I’m not a sports enthusiast but I will always rep the Yankees and the Giants. Sometimes the Mets too.

Do you have a favorite sports team or athlete that you passionately support?

Not really. I’m not big on sports, but I did run track before and am very interested in that!

What’s your all-time favorite movie, and what about it resonates with you?

You know, to be honest with you I’ve pondered this and I don’t think I have one! I’m really not a big movie person but what I will say is I was a huge fan of the Harry Potter movie series. Those movies made me want to get into acting and film, and even though I learned that that is not my passion or my calling, it definitely made me enjoy being more imaginative and learning about things we aren’t able to grasp in everyday life.

Do you have a preferred movie genre, or do you enjoy exploring a variety of genres?

To be very honest with you I love a good documentary. I will watch so many all day. I love learning. I’m not a big TV/film person so if I am going to watch something I do like for it to be informative- fiction or not.

Can you recall a film that has had a significant influence on your perspective or outlook on life?

Truthfully, I’m not a huge movie/film buff. This might sound kinda crazy but Into the Spiderverse (I’m a huge spiderman fan) and the idea of the multiverse really changed a lot of my perspective on life. There could be so many different timelines and versions of ourselves that could exist in a multitude of universes, and that makes me think about how so many of the little things we do could set us on an entirely different trajectory in our lives. I also think it’s a wonderful movie.

What is your favorite album of all time?

This is a hard one. I don’t know if I can answer that question because there are so many albums that have shaped my life. I really can’t choose one. Let me get back to you on this!

Tell us about your latest project

My latest project was an album called Odyssey, it’s essentially a journey through an alternate audio universe, but also a marker of the beginning of my journey as an artist. I really enjoy the thought of being somewhere else but also reflecting on things that happen to us throughout our lives. The project was about love, trauma, psychosis, etc, but also about choosing the road less traveled. Since I released it I’ve had some remixes come out as well for 12×2 and an old song of mine, Slow. I’m planning to release some more remixes soon!
