Willie Nelson announces new album ‘The Border,’ shares title track

Willie Nelson has announced a new album, The Border, which will be out May 31, one month after the country legend celebrates his 91st birthday. The album — his 75th! — features four new Nelson originals co-written with producer Buddy Cannon as well as interpretations of other artists’ songs.

The first single from The Border is its title track, which was originally written and performed by Rodney Crowell for his 2019 album, Texas. Listen to that, and check out the album art and tracklist, below.

Willie will head out on the 2024 Outlaw Music Festival tour later this year, which hits the NYC area on June 29 at Jones Beach and June 30 at PNC Bank Arts Center. Both shows are with Bob Dylan, Robert Plant & Allison Krauss, and Celisse.
